Service user led drop in offering information and advice, help with letters, appointments, training and access to sport, social activities and volunteering as well as food, clothing and laundry facilities. Volunteers always needed.

Offers harm reduction advice, information and support, assessment, referrals, testing, needle                 exchange, medical interventions and volunteer opportunities. Nurse available.

Lifeline Outlook - 4 Hutton Terrace, Sandyford

Offers supported direct access into structured activities and a range of opportunities for adults who have or have had problems associated with drug or alcohol use. Also access to Intervention and Brief Advice alcohol workers.

Newcastle User and Carer Forum 
C/o Safe Newcastle, Drug Support Unit, Civic Centre, Newcastle
To enable service user and carer involvement, engagement, consultation and communication in relation to service / treatment provision in the city. Also offers peer led support and activity, as well as training, volunteer opportunities, advocacy and mentoring. 
Held fortnightly every Thursday 12-2pm at various Service venues in Newcastle area.

Turning Point Arrest Referral and Resettlement - Sandyford Road, Newcastle and bases at Police stations. 
Offer assessment and community based support to drug users awaiting sentence by the courts and, in particular, to those subject to bail restrictions linked to their drug use, as well as aftercare services target clients managed within the Prison and Probation Services.

Co-ordinates the care of pregnant women who misuse drugs and alcohol ensuring they receive a high standard of maternity care, preferably within mainstream services.

Changing Lives Oaktrees offers abstinence-based, structured, day programme of support based on a self-help model which aims to empower people to take responsibility for their recovery.

Ridley Villas is a supported accommodation service providing support to women with children living in Newcastle and Gateshead, who require support to help overcome drug and/or alcohol addiction, to continue to achieve and sustain abstinence by accessing appropriate treatment. The Recovery Centre (Changing Lives) - The Old Toll House, Swing Bridge, Quayside, Newcastle
The service is open to anyone in Newcastle and Gateshead who deem themselves to be in recovery. The centre will be a place of safety for those moving forward, with all forms of recovery programs welcome. We offer peer based recovery services, telephone recovery support, recovery support groups, recovery orientated employment support, workshops and training.

Changing Trax 
Changing Trax is a project that works with families where there are significant risks of children becoming looked after or their names being placed on the Child Protection Register. 
The work is solution focused and builds on the strengths of families to maintain children at home safely. A second strand of the project is the Strengthening Families programme which is a structured group work programme for families at risk but not in sufficient crisis to justify the intensive intervention programme.
